Luc-Alain Savoy, PhD

Dr. Savoy is co-founder and chairman of BioXpress Therapeutics SA. Previously, he co-founded in 1991 M-Scan SA, a contract research organization specializing in high level of bioproducts characterization, prior to selling it to SGS. Luc-Alain pioneered physico chemical characterization using high end mass spectrometry methodologies, which have become worldwide standards for the analysis of complex biologic products. He is currently Global Head of Biologics, at SGS Life Sciences. Dr. Savoy has worked on more than 10 biosimilarity packages for clients.
Gerrit Hagens, PhD, MBA
Director
Dr. Hagens is director at BioXpress and Professor at the University of Applied Sciences HES-SO, Sion, Switzerland. Gerrit Hagens gained a strong manufacturing process development experience during the last 20 years in the industry. Before joining BioXpress where he heads project management since 2010, he was member of Serono’s core team managing the Neurology Business Unit bringing Rebif for treating multiple sclerosis to a blockbuster status. He then took over executive roles at ExcellGene and RiboVax as COO and President and helped developing manufacturing processes for biologics. Gerrit is also co-founder of NatiMab, a company specialized in the development of antibody-based therapies and diagnostics.
Alexandra Richardson, PhD, CLP

Dr. Richardson is a Director at BioXpress. She currently heads business development for Clayton Biotechnologies, where her work in project management and business development has contributed to the launch of ten marketed products. She has extensive experience in negotiating collaboration and licensing agreements with with small start-up companies as well as global biotech and pharma companies for pre-clinical technologies. These deals include license agreements on biologic therapeutic candidates as well as gene and cell therapy candidates, several of which are currently in clinical development. In parallel, Alexandra founded ARBbiotech, Sàrl, a Swiss company that offers business development services in life sciences with a focus on licensing early stage biotech assets and JuLe BioSciences LLC, a consultancy group in Nevada offering strategic services for medical research foundations. She was previously a Licensing Officer at Unitec, the technology transfer office for the University of Geneva and University Hospitals of Geneva where she helped build its life science business.Alexandra holds an ACS-accredited B.A. in chemistry from Swarthmore College and a doctoral degree in biochemistry from the University of Geneva, with award for the best PhD thesis at the Medical School.
